Santa Rosa and Sonoma County are officially open for visitors! And truth be told, we’ve really missed you. Santa Rosa is especially beautiful this time of the year. The days are long and warm, the redwood trees are stretching high towards the sky, flowers are blooming, and the grapevines are beautiful and lush. Welcome back. We’re so happy we can share Santa Rosa with you again.
While the world, and summer travel, looks different this year, the urban heart of Sonoma County that you know, love, and have been dreaming about is still the same. Though we’re biased, we think that Santa Rosa is more beautiful and welcoming than ever. You’ve trusted us with some of your most memorable moments, and we don’t take that lightly. We know that trust is more important now than ever.

Dine Al Fresco
Few things say summer in Sonoma County more than dining outdoors. Many Santa Rosa and Sonoma County restaurants have great patio dining, and that is truer now more than ever. Some Santa Rosa restaurants, too, have recently added sidewalk dining, giving guests more room to safely spread out. Check out our recommendations.
See A Movie Outdoors
Now this is a trend and change we’re excited to see, with many places offering outdoor movies. The Luther Burbank Center for the Arts recently announced the launch of Carpool Cinemas, curated by Santa Rosa Cinemas.
Explore Miles of Hiking Trails
With 55 miles of coastline, 150 miles of regional park trails, and many state parks, Sonoma County has open space galore. Enjoy a hike among the redwoods at Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve or trek the miles of trails at Trione-Annadel State Park. How about a lakeside picnic with the kids at Spring Lake Regional Park.
The summer of 2020 may turn out to be a quieter and gentler year in Santa Rosa. A time of nostalgia, small crowds, and big memories in the happening hub of Sonoma County. It may be like it was 25 years ago when people would come to Santa Rosa just to sit back and enjoy the simplicity vineyards, the draw of the outdoors, and the freedom of riding or hiking the trails in our beautiful parks.
