Recently, California’s governor declared a drought emergency across most of California. This doesn’t mean that there’s no water in Santa Rosa, however, it does mean that some of your favorite places may look a little different this year and many of our hotels, restaurants, and wineries have modified their service.

Visit Santa Rosa wants to make sure visitors are informed in an effort to minimize water waste, thereby preserving the water supply that serves Santa Rosa and all those who visit our beautiful destination.

Mandatory restrictions and conservation measures are already in place including the following:

•    Lodging – Linens will only be changed upon request.

•    Restaurants – Water served only upon request.

We also ask all Santa Rosa visitors and residents to conserve water through awareness and simple behavior changes:

•    Turn off the tap including when brushing teeth and shaving.

•    Reuse your towels.

•    Take shorter showers, fewer baths.

•    Report leaks to management.

On a final note, some experiences on our lakes and rivers may be different than in the past. We recommend doing some research and checking with tour operators about current water conditions.
