Signs of the Spring
“The time resembles the exciting beginning of spring when the cosmic forces are in inspired harmony. There presently exist the ideal conditions for new awakenings, healthy growth, and progressive plans. It is a totally cooperative environmental setting that leads to the flowering and prospering of what is now aroused."
R.L. Wing - The I-Ching Workbook
Spring is about new beginnings. This time of the year reveals itself as signs of new life appear all around after winter's rest. As the natural world shows these signs of change, Easter arrives to remind us of renewal and rebirth taking place all around us, and it's also time for our favorite bunny, Peter Cottontail, to make his annual appearance.
Downtown Santa Rosa Egg-Cellent Easter Egg Hunt
Join the first-ever Egg-Cellent Adventure Easter Egg Hunt March 15 through April 3, in Downtown Santa Rosa. Over thirty businesses throughout the Downtown area are participating to provide families with a fun, socially distanced, spring activity. Participating businesses are located between Downtown around Old Courthouse Square, Santa Rosa Plaza, and Railroad Square, and the Easter Bunny has left Easter Eggs at thirty-five businesses. Will you be able to find them all?
To join the Egg-Cellent Adventure, pick up a passport from any of the participating businesses. Families will complete their passports when they get a sticker from each business and enter to win fun prizes, including gift cards and items donated from the participating businesses. The first three families to complete the passport will all receive prizes.
Participating businesses will have a large egg poster in the window and DowntownSantaRosa.org/egghunt will provide families with clues and a map to guide them to each business.
Families can start and finish their adventure at any point from March 15 through April 3 and are encouraged to share photos of their hunt with @downtownsantarosa on Instagram.
Wine Road Easter Barrel
Ready to have some wine-oriented Easter fun? If so, the Wine Road’s giant Easter Egg Barrel Hunt is for you!
Taking place between March 6 - April 11, thirty Northern Sonoma County wineries will be featuring ultra-creative, colorfully painted, Easter-themed wine barrels.
Of course, we suggest you make some wine tasting reservations and make a day out of it. Or better yet, book a room and spend a few days on the Barrel Hunt. If you’re not ready to go wine tasting yet, then just order your wine for curb-side pick-up, while you're out on the Barrel Hunt.
You can also snap a selfie with the barrels you find, tag it @thewineroad and use the hashtags #WineRoadBarrels #EasterEggBarrels, and Wine Road will be sending out Wine Road goodies to the folks with the most barrel selfies.
