Sonoma County Pride & Festival
Join us for our 38th annual Sonoma County Pride Celebration! We are returning to downtown Santa Rosa after a two-year absence due to the Corona Virus Pandemic. We are so excited to be back and to have you join us!
Our 2023 theme, COMMUNITY!, is all about being together in the spirit of diversity and belonging. Celebrating our connectedness through our vast differences and our sameness to realize we are all in this together. Each of us is a unique individual, yet we are united.
Sonoma County Pride invites you to showcase what makes you and/or your group to celebrate what unites our Sonoma County LGBTQ Community and our allies. We encourage you to be as original and colorful as you dare. Decorate, decorate, decorate. The sky’s the limit. Parade participants are encouraged to use this year’s theme and celebrate to your heart’s desire!
Annual Flag Raising
On June 1 at 11am, come out as Sonoma County Pride kicks off Pride Month as we "Raise the Pride Flag" on top of Rosenberg Building in Downtown Santa Rosa.
A little history: The pride flag was first introduced in 1978 by a man named Gilbert Baker. He was approached by the San Francisco Pride committee to come up with a new symbol to represent their fight for equal rights. After much deliberation, he decided on a rainbow, for its representation of diversity and of acceptance. Since then, the rainbow flag has become an internationally recognizable symbol for the gay rights movement. It is associated with love, and tolerance, and peace.
Pride Kick Off: Movie Night & Happy Hour on the Square
On June 2, kick off Pride Weekend with happy hour on the square and a movie night!
Grab a blanket and your low-back lawn chairs, and order dinner from one of our downtown favorite restaurants for Pride Movie Night a special free outdoor showing of the LGBTQ favorite, Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert!
Open seating & Pride Bar opens at 6:00pm and the movie begins at 7:00pm. Come early to meet up with old friends, make new friends, and test your trivia! This will be an exciting all-ages event! Learn more here.
Pride Festival and Parade
On June 3, enjoy the 38th annual Sonoma County Pride Festival and Parade in Downtown Santa Rosa! This year’s Sonoma County Pride Celebration spans three days of events and activities designed to appeal to a large diversity of tastes as well as to invite our neighbors from the entire bay area to join the weekend fun. The festival will be returning to the fabulous Downtown Santa Rosa on Courthouse Square.

On June 3, after the parade and festival, don't let the party stop! Join Sonoma County Pride for several after party activities in Downtown Santa Rosa.
Join Sonoma County Pride for Santa Rosa GayDar’s official Pride after-party “Boogie Nights” Presented by The Flamingo Resort & Spa & Sonoma Clean Power. Join the fab fou, Lolita Hernandez and her radical drag sisters, Aubrey D O’night, Deja More, and Billie Jean Queen as they dazzle us with a far-out drag show to kick off pride month! The Queer Dance Party continues with the beats from DJ Lady Char and Las Vegas resident Luke Dice!
